Luckily for Mozilla product users everywhere, Thunderbird, the email client, is also a newsfeed client and thus supports RSS feeds too! Along with IRC chat, Google Talk, XMPP, and Twitter. Since all of these are super popular features, unlike Firefox I guess, there doesn't seem to be any roadmap to removing them.
(I'm honestly not sure, myself, whether I am serious.) |

I use PageEdit as I used Bookview, for major edits and cutting and pasting text to and from OpenOffice as the Headings transfer extremely well.
I also have PageEdit 9.5 win 64, and I don't see a Help menu. (see attached) Thanks, Brent |

Yes, there is no help yet. The About box and Preferences should be under the File menu.
If someone wants to create html files to document PageEdit or create an epub user's guide, that would be wonderful. Kevin |

Had my first go at using PageEdit on the OPF this morning, I expected to see something like the Book browser tree, but i got an error; so I tried the default empty epub and got the same error:
Aside - what I'd prefer is a PageEdit that could open and unpack an EPUB off it's own bat, rather than having to use it via Sigil's Open With. BR |

You must not have the most recent version of Sigil/PageEdit then. It works fine for me with the latest Sigil and the latest PageEdit (using Open With or the External XHTML button).

Nope. PageEdit isn't getting any zip-related utilities. It's not an epub editor. It only edits xhtml files (singly or in groups provided by an opf file). Use Sigil's Folder-Out plugin to explode the epub, then use PageEdit on it's own to open the unzipped OPF and edit to your heart's content. Then use the Folder-In plugin to bring all of your edits back into Sigil.

The shortcut seemed not to work with 0.9.17, but... we'll see what happens with 0.9.18 Maybe Tools should have a Run External Editor item. Quote:

![]() ![]() All working now fine now - new PE is nice. Except when I changed Sigil's Launch External Editor shortcut to Ctrl/F2 (I use F2 for Rename) or Ctrl+Alt+P (never wanted to print from Sigil) it didn't work - when I changed it back to F2 it did work - I'm habituated to F2 for rename. The button worked; but, for me, button bars are ![]() No big deal, happy to use OW PE on the OPF. Maybe Launch External Editor could be added to the Sigil Tools Menu. Couple of suggestions for PE, make the Format menu available as a fly-out in context menu, ditto the file list, and configurable keyboard shortcuts, including Next and Previous files. Haven't tried Folder In/Out yet BR Last edited by BetterRed; 10-17-2019 at 02:09 AM. |

We're a ways away from configurable shortcuts for PageEdit. The Next and Previous buttons probably should have shortcuts in the meantime though. |

I'm quite happy using OW->Page Edit on the opf. I use OW on image and xhtml file so why wouldn't I do the same on the opf file ![]() I've long suspected that new shortcuts, especially those that default to function keys get 'screwed' up if I already have already assigned the function key to something else. I assigned F7 to spellcheck long before it was introduced as the default for I forget what, for a while I was losing my assignment whenever I installed a new version of Sigil, that seems to have stopped. Now I have this problem with another newly introduced shortcut that defaults to a function key. I stand by the suggestion I made regarding losing F7; when upgrading an existing installation any new shortcuts should be assigned to empty lest they clash with a users existing customisations. BR |

Is there a way to open more than one file at a time?
PageEdit can obviously deal with more than one, but how do you get it to see all Sigil files at once. |
