Note: CM may not work on a KT3 or KOA. Those devices do not support Kindlets, which is why KUAL had to be re-written. Check into LibrarianSync - which will build your collections from the file tree's structure. |

Ah ok that might explain why i get Application Error, the selection application could not be started when i try I try to open collection manager. The only reason I jail broke was for collections manager. Sigh ![]() Thanks Edit: Nope Librariansync wont do what I want. Ah well that's an afternoon wasted ![]() Last edited by Bry2; 07-28-2016 at 11:33 AM. |

@Bry2: Because this doesn't target your device (or any FW 5.x devices, really, at least for a good long while now).
The Oasis simply can't run Kindlets, because that framework has been deprecated by Amazon. EDIT: Aaaaggghh. Dammit. Missed a new page again. ![]() |

User CP -> set number of posts to display per page to maximum (40 IIRC) -
fewer page breaks. |

Trying to get the Mobileread kit to work
Hi Guys,
So, I've just attempted to Jailbreak my Kindle using the steps listed here: http://www.ereader-palace.com/how-to...e-2016-method/ And now I'd like to be able to use my Kindle with the Calibre Plugin. Apparently, the 1st step is to install the 'Mobileread Kindlet Kit', but when i attempt with the 'Update_mkk-20141129-k5-ALL_install.bin', the kindle says that this is an unofficial .bin file and i can't install it. Any thoughts? Thanks, Gustan |

Did you read the official copy of the instructions? https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=275877 Did you notice anything that was missing from the un-official abstract you where trying to follow? Please read **ALL** of the sections, including the contents of the spoilers before you answer. The one thing that will not be obvious, is that you already installed MKK (it is part of the 'hotfix'). Note: You will have answered your own question by the time you have read the entire post (do not be afraid to scroll down and open spoilers as you go - checking your work at each step). |

Hi guys, I'm really new to all this, so pardon me if I made an obvious mistake.
I have a PW1, and I did the following: downgraded the firmware to 5.3.3, installed the jailbreak 1.14.N, and upgraded the firmware back to 5.6.1.1. I tried to install this, but I realise that after I disconnect my Kindle from the computer, the "Update Your Kindle" button is greyed out, and upon reconnecting it I realise the .bin file is no longer on my Kindle. Am I missing something here? I can't seem to get this to work at all =/ Last edited by hengyu; 08-06-2016 at 09:12 AM. |

That's how I ended up here to begin with! Unless I'm reading incorrectly, I was under the impression that MRPI required KUAL, and KUAL required the Kindlet Kit! Is that wrong?
Edit: Apparently I don't need the Kit to set up KUAL! Last edited by hengyu; 08-06-2016 at 09:46 AM. |

But the PW-1 jailbreak (the prior 'universal' jb) is a "One step" procedure that includes installing MKK. |

What is the "runtime error" message? What is your K4 firmware version? Last edited by geekmaster; 08-12-2016 at 01:31 AM. |
