Most are print subscriptions but some are digital. You gotta be quick though. When you get the offer in your email go for it. I get about 2 to 3 offers a week but only sign up for magazines we will read.

I have anything they send from Mercury Magazines set to forward to my main email on my tablet. I've been doing this for about three years now there is absolutely no cost at all.

valuemags.com is occasionally useful as well. but definitely another one that you should use a spam email with

But the six of nine I recognize are all groups/singers I like, even though some of the albums are not their "major" albums. Thanks for the link!

**hope this isn't violating any rules**

ATTENTION Members -- Even though the promo codes for this offer will work for anyone, do NOT use them if you're not a T-Mobile customer. This program - T-Mobile Tuesdays - is only open to T-Mobile customers. Publicly posting the codes violates their T&C:

Limited time offer; subject to change. Qualifying service required.
I'm editing all posts containing the codes, even though they appear to be one-use codes and have already been used. If you know the codes, please don't share them with anyone else.

The correct way to post offers containing codes that require membership and may or may not be user specific is to use language similar to this:

"Attention T-Mobile Tuesday participants. This Tuesday's freebie is a 1-year subscription to Bon Appetite. To redeem this offer, open your T-Mobile Tuesday app."

Magazine offers are definitely within the scope of this thread, so feel free to post them.

Re: the code for T-Mobile customers. Two or three years ago there was a promotion for Avis customers and also one for some other rental car company. Seems like it was a $10 Audible credit or something. Is posting these now verboten? Or does it depend upon what the t&c's say?

On another subject brought up just a few posts back . . . . http://www.magazinepricesearch.com/ has deals du jour that are sometimes really good. If I have ever used them, though, I don't remember it.

It'll depend on the T&Cs. If in doubt, run it by me or another mod before posting.

Have we violated this rule in the past? More than likely; but we're turning over a new leaf.

While we're on the topic of magazines, don't forget this free source from your public library - Zinio. Here's the landing page from one of my libraries:

King County Library System

Quote:
Hundreds of digital magazine titles available with no return dates.
...and it also includes back issues. You're essentially getting free magazine subscriptions. You'll have to remember to download new issues when they come out, because they're not automatically delivered to you; but, you can get email reminders when new issues are available.

To see if your library offers this service, look for it in your library's digital content page.

Our library uses Flipster -- otherwise, the same description. Available on any computer and with an Android app. I don't know if there's an Apple app.

Thanks for the reminder.

As it so happens, I had just let my subscription to Consumer Reports go. But I didn't relish the idea of having to go visit the library every time that I wanted to research a product. I forgot all about the fact that they have it available digitally.

Oh, and would you mind sharing your I.D. and password for the King County Library System with me? Our library here is quite limited. I promise not to tell anyone.

Never heard of Flipster, so I looked it up and see that it's owned by Ebsco. None of my libraries has Flipster and only one has Ebsco (a whopping 300 ebooks in its collection).

BTW, Flipster does have an app for iDevices.

Domo Music Group is having a Fourth of July sale. Domo is Kitaro's publisher -- and they handle other artists as well. Single CDs, DVDs and album downloads are $4; Double discs and album downloads are $8. I don't know if these prices are US-only. Purchases are handled by "payloadz." Don't let the "z" bother you -- they're legit.

I'm a fan of Kitaro's music and I thought I'd pass it along.

Thanks for the post.

I was not familiar with domomusicgroup. I'm still not sure exactly what it is, even after going to the site. I didn't recognize any of the artists, after doing a cursory look-over. It looks like it might be a record label/musician management outfit or something like that, with a storefront. It's good to know about them, though.

I notice that if you sign up for their newsletter, you can get "free music."
