Does anyone have experience with Kobo price match with Kindle eBooks? When i checked the Kobo price match conditions it says:
"The advertised product must be identical to the purchased product (same ISBN for eBooks, or same volume and issue for digital magazines)"
The problem is the ISBN/ASIN are almost always different even though the books are exactly the same.

I doubt that Kobo would eliminate the ability to buy books while (legitimately) travelling to another country. But then again this is Kobo

It looks like all Kindle books use ASIN, if that is the case i wonder if Kobo put that ISBN condition there so they wouldn't have to honor price matches against Amazon, looks very fishy to me.

The UK has a St Patricks Day Sale (and probably so does Kobo Ireland, and they use Euros not GBP, so maybe cheaper in Ireland!)

https://store.kobobooks.com/p/BestofIrishsale

Fiction: https://store.kobobooks.com/en-us/li...?sort=PriceAsc
Crime/Thrillers: https://store.kobobooks.com/en-us/li...?sort=PriceAsc
Romance: https://store.kobobooks.com/en-us/li...?sort=PriceAsc
Non-Fiction: https://store.kobobooks.com/en-us/li...?sort=PriceAsc

Prices start under the pound. Sale goes to 17 March.

Now, imo, this is a sale!!

When I buy from Kobo India, I get a secondary authorisation screen from my credit card company. Maybe there is a problem with the hand-off.

Why does the phrase "couldn't find their arse with both hands" come to mind?

I have done successful price matches with Amazon. There have also been other reports here previously.

"Me, too!"

Seriously, I've done plenty of price matches to both Amazon and Google Play.

Kobo offered me a 20% discount of my birthday but all the books I am interested in cost more than the 20% on Kobo when compared to Amazon.

Yes, I have submitted a price match and got a credit for the difference. When I submitted it, they asked for the URL of the book. I didn't double check the ISBN first so I can't speak to that issue, but I can tell you it worked for me.

The price match I did was with Amazon and it worked fine. This was about a month ago, so unless they changed the rules since then, it should work.
