Early in the morning at seven o'clock
There's twenty tarriers a drillin' at the rock
The boss comes along and he says: "Keep still
And come down heavy on the cast-iron-drill!"
And drill, ye tarriers, drill!
Drill, ye tarriers, drill!
Oh, it's work all day
For the sugar in your tay
Down behind the railway!
Then drill ye tarriers, drill!
And blast
And fire!

Good morning, everyone! Almost the Equinox and a good day to do some work around the house. I can't find a shelving unit in the size I need so I guess I'll have to build one. I'm not real good at 'finish cabinetry' work, but I've learned how to cover up the gaps between joints. I'll brew up a big pot of tea and just soldier on. Right now I'm drinking East India Company's "Royal Breakfast" tea, and getting ready to draw up working plans. I don't know why I do that. I can't seem to follow them. This time I have the bright idea of building a door that will cover all the shelves... Camouflage! But first... more tea!

A pot of my custom Russian Caravan blend tea this morning. It looks like the Pineapple Express slid up a bit north of where it's been hitting and nailed us. Warm and WET. (Sorry about that, Maritimes. Really, you have my deepest sympathies. Truly.)

Imperial White Peony white tea. I chose this one because I had ceramic braces put on my top teeth today, and I was afraid of staining.

Not books. We've pared down to less than three shelves of paper books since we went e-book. When we left Japan this last time, we only shipped 3 small boxes of books. The first time we moved to Thailand, we shipped about 17 large boxes of books.

We had a half-sized fridge that came with the apartment that we replaced last week with a large one. The little one was in an under-cupboard space next to the sink, and that's where I want to build the shelves to hold kitchen stuff... large stock pot, crock pot, a few lesser-used pots and pans, etc., etc. Unfortunately, this space is near the front door, and we usually keep that open for desirable air flow... but with unwanted dust flow. So the door on the front is to keep out the dust.

Still drinking this Jade Ti Quan Yin. I'd forgotten how much I liked it! I think I'm on my third pot today. Have to quit now, or I'll never get to sleep tonight.

I finally got my hands on some Pu erh. I am not impressed. It smells like mushroom compost and tastes like weak black tea. Maybe it's the tea, maybe it's me, but I'm not quite understanding what the internet fuss is about.

As I was a rovin' over Kilgary mountain
I saw colonel Farrel and his money he was countin'
I rattled me pistols and I drew forth my saber
Sayin' "Stand and deliver, for I am the bold deceiver"

Musha rig um du rum da
Wack fol the daddy-o
Wack fol the daddy-o
There's whiskey in the jar

Good morning, everyone. Happy Equinox! It's a fine Saturday morn, and my gear is packed and ready for another day at the Chiang Mai Fencing Club. Nothing special happening today... that I know of... but a good day fencing is a good day fencing! I've got Ahmad's "English Breakfast" tea in my cup, another 2 liters of it cold in my thermos, and I'm ready to fight!

It will always have a 'dirt' taste, but some dirt tastes better than others. One thing you might want to do though, is 'wash' the tea before you brew the cup to drink. Prepare the tea as usual, but rather than letting it steep, just rinse and throw away the water immediately. You might find you need to do this twice with some Pu ers. Then brew your tea with water not quite so hot, and let it steep. You might find that you like Pu erh this way.
