Good morning, everyone! Another perfect Sunday in the Land of Smiles! Good day for a motorcycle ride up in the mountains along the Burmese border, so that's our plan for today. There's a big Flower Festival going on downtown, so that's a good place to avoid if you don't want to be jammed into the crowds. There are more than enough flowers all over the place when it's not festival time, (Chiang Mai IS 'The Rose of the North!) so we don't feel that we're missing much except a parade.

Today starts with a big mug of Taylors of Harrogate's "Yorkshire" tea. I think I'll bring a thermos of it along with us for the ride. We can always find good stuff to eat at the little vendor stands in the jungle, but never good tea to drink.

I'll be going out shortly to finish clearing the layer of ice from the driveway.

The weather forecast is for rain, sleet, snow and then freezing rain through tomorrow night.

I regard it as "job security."

cromag: You are definitely on the wrong coast. We're complaining because this latest Pineapple Express has dumped a lot of rain and the temperatures are up to 12 degrees (~55 F. )

Still drinking some Peet's English Breakfast, even though it's almost dinner time.

My current source of (limited) caffeine: Hot chocolate with french toast (with lots and lots and lots and a lot more butter). It's delicious! As usual I've put lots of milk.

Good morning. And it is a good morning. Slept well, had a good walk this morning, fixed Huevos Rancheros for breakfast with my own chorizo and eggs from our hens, and a big, tall glass of fresh squeezed orange juice.

Now, a mug of Peet's English Breakfast Blend tea, and settle down to review the second worst chapter I've had the fun of tech reviewing. (The worst was the previous one!)

I just use a 32oz bottle for my iced tea, rather than counting the cups. When it's empty, I move on to the other 32oz bottle which has a lemonade in it - just so I don't drink TOO much caffeine. So right now, I'm half way through my bottle o' tea.
