Kobo regularly give out discount codes. Most valid ones are given in the first post of the current thread.

Some are valid world-wide, some only work in particular countries.

However, Kobo seem to rely on you to tell them what country you're in. So if you're on holiday in (say) Canada, you just enter your Canadian address in your account details and then you have access to their books at Canadian prices and using discount codes that are valid in Canada.

One long-running code that its now only valid when in Canada is PERKOPOLIS and entering that at checkout will give your a 40% discount on Canadian prices.

Whether you feel the effort of a trip to Canada for a 40% discount is worth it is really up to you.

Are you sure the contest has started? I get an error message when I answer the trivia question correctly and get an email for my coupon code but there is no code in the email.

Yes, it worked in my regular account and I'm seeing the 25% off code I won in the email confirmation, and I'm also doing it from Canada as well.

Perhaps try a different browser?

I now see a message on the contest page that the contest is now closed. Didn't something similar happen in the last contest and it ended up not starting until the next day. Strange when the fine print at the bottom of the page says the contest closes on Dec. 24.

I think they might have to start it today if they want to end it on the 24th after 10 days. And they did just send out a bunch of emails about it, which is how I found out about it.

Once someone gets a good code and has used it, please post it here (saying which country it's for). A few competitions back, it turned out the codes were good for one use per account, rather than just one use by anyone as they usually are. Maybe the same will happen again.
