Is there something wrong with it being about the money? Authors need to make a living after all.

That said, I kinda chuckled when he mentioned reaching younger readers. I get the impression that electronic books is one of the most age agnostic technologies out there.

Nothing at all wrong with it being a paying job.

and yes older readers are adopting e-readers as much or more than anyone...

Sherman has warped perspective on ebook which he has ranted against....he also has an on-going rant about any non-indian writing about indians (Native Americans if you prefer).

I love his work though. Fell in love with it with "Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven"

Is there more to the story than what appears in the NPR bit? I didn't see where Alexie makes reference to personal profits.

Granted, I think his general stance on ereaders is ridiculous.

I think that's the opinion of MR posters.

His website has a whole page on ebooks, including the video where he explains his, well, hypocrisy and has links to Open Road (his digital publisher).
