Getting Aura. But how to transfer Annotations from kindle?
So I've finally decided to ditch my old K3 for a new Kobo Aura. The only thing halting me is that I have bookmarks, highlights ... on my K3 that I don't want to lose. I'm very familiar with Calibre and most books on my k3 were epubs originally. But I don't know how to transfer these annotations to Kobo.

Has anyone been through this transition and can shed some light?! Or should I wait out for kindle Paperwhite2 I kind of want to get out of Amazon ecosystem...

Sorry, but there isn't a way that I have heard of. I think you would need to write a lot of code to convert the position information. Though the Kobo devices can read the format used by ADE. If there is already something to convert to from Kindle to that, you would be able to use that.

Googling ".mobi annotations" provides a number of articles from MR and elsewhere.
