Ok. Thx for answer)
I was installing "Font fix" for .awz and .mobi formats of default Kindle reader. For "extended the font size" and "decrease fields" This fix have: - folder k4 - update hostfix.bin link to this fix I put "update hostfix.bin" into the internal memory device, but not put folder "k4". And i press "Update kindle". Kindle start updating and stop in the middle. And display error 3, "Your kindle is broken, and require recover, contact to administrator" (I do not remember exactly this text message). And i was use Kubrick for recover my kindle. |

This is caused by flashing a diags image from a different device that contains some reference to ids from that different device. The good news is that with the latest jailbreak, you don't need to "Disable diagnostics" at all. It will be disabled by the jailbreak installer when it's finished. Now you can enable "USB Device mode", copy the latest jailbreak and reboot Kindle (twice). The jailbreak will be (re)installed, diagnostics disabled and Kindle will reboot to main mode without human interaction. Alternatively you can connect to Kindle via SSH and issue these commands to disable diagnostics: Code:
rm /mnt/us/ENABLE_DIAGS idme -d --bootmode main sync reboot |

I have tried it but unseccsessful. in booting I saw some 'failed' is it normal? I used live cd. In last flashing, there was written ít may take 1 to 3 hours' but it took only 10-20 minutes and said it was successfull. but it did not work, I have tried twice and in third one it even could not detect kindle. ....

Your battery has too little storage capacity to run the Kindle during the entire process. If you did not recharge the Kindle on a wall charger for at least 20 hours before trying again: DO THAT! |

I have the same flashing issue as CeramicHammer.
I used Kubrick 3.4. I charged my Kindle 3 Keyboard 3G for 3 days on wall outlet before flashing (on my phone charger, but it works on my other Kindles). The orange light goes out after few hours of charging but I newer get green light. When I try to reset my Kindle after flashing, the orange light goes out and then comes back on when I release the switch. I'm suspecting hardware failure since the Kindle started to need resets with increasing frequency until it became completely bricked. My Kindle is stuck on a page of a book and never shows up on my computer. Before failing it had been jailbroken and wallpaper hack installed. Does anyone want free Kindle keyboard brick for spares or closer inspection. I'm close to Amsterdam. Quote:
