You know, it occurs to me that I may be amassing an unusual "Amazon recommends" list here.

i hope this isn't an english only thread. i've written to publisher Viviane Hamy about Fred Vargas' books but got no reply. perhaps amazon will have more luck. so you know, at least some of her books have already been translated into english ; if you like intelligent, philosophical, well-written mysteries with really elaborate character developpment, do give her books a try (and click on them in english too ).
ta very much. |

It seems like we can click on the same title a multiple of times. I don't know if it no longer counts after the first click but I think I'll try clicking each of the books on the list, once a day. Couldn't hurt.

Although I believe it's a lost cause, my pick would be Patrick O'Brian's HMS Surprise.
Also Zelazny's Lord of Light, which slightly edges out the first Amber book. |

As both Amazon and Sony have a way on their respective sites to request eBooks, I've moved this thread and renamed it appropriately. I suggest that for every request for an eBook, that we go to both Amazon & Sony to put in a request. The more requests that are out there, the better chance of getting eBooks.
The Sony thread on requesting https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27720 The Amazon thread on requesting https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27545 The direct link to Sony to request (best make sure the eBook isn't already there first) http://connect-metrics.custhelp.com/...eys/ws?_133=25 At Sony, if you search for an eBook, found or not, you get on the right hand side... Title not found? Request the title. Sony's eBookstore URL http://ebookstore.sony.com |

Both of the examples come from Feedbooks, one I converted to LRF using Calibre the other loaded just as an epub. If I could be assured that all epub files that I purchased could be converted to LRF I would be all for buying epub books. Note: |
