IQ my pocketbook seems dead

Hi. Big problem here.
I've just installed the latest firmware release yesterday and everything was perfect. Today, after installing launcher pro, i go to the home menu and the device crashes: the screen freezes and i couldnt do anything, cant restar either.
So, in panic, i get a paper clip and use to press the reset button. The screen shuts down, so i think it was a good choice, but the, I realize I can't turn the pocketbook back on.
Ive tried to turn it on with the +volume button pressed, Ive tried pressing te power button in many different ways. It isnt a batery problem either, im sure.

Please help, i'm running out of ideas

Carefully open the back.............start at the indentation cutout. Then using a credit card carefully working your way around the back until the cover comes off.
Find where the battery connects. GENTLY pull on the wires while wiggling them from side to side until the connector comes off. Then wait 10 sec. and put it back.
Should reset. I have launcher pro + but never had this problem.
Good luck and let me know! I've had to do this several times when I've had problems.

By the way...............If you updated to 2.1.1 go back. With the new update you have to choose factory reset after the update to get the wi-fi to work, plus you loose the TTS funtion. My advice is to stay with 2.06. I use Laucher pro + for a launcher and love it.

Is the loss of TTS a bug, or deliberate?

It's a bug.................all the TTS stuff shows up but it won't work. I sent email to Pocketbook, but no reply...............

Phew! I was a bit worried that PB was removing TTS like Amazon did (under pressure from audiobook publishers). Bugs are bad, but at least there's a chance they'll get fixed.

Had same problem as francadaniel, my pocketbook seems dead. Did what musicman2523 said and it work. Thank you musicman2523.

Glad to hear you got your problem solved. I'll mention this as another thought even though it does not apply to your case. It is worth removing the SD card as another test. I had a device that had a memory card go bad and the device froze and would not start until the card was removed.

afaik, this absence of TTS in PB IQ is just a technical isssue they can't resolve at this moment. TTS at 60x and 90x models work perfectly... and, to my humble opinion, is one big point of difference between PB and others....

I have a similar issue, but disconnecting the battery did not help. I ran the upgrade, but it failed. Okay. I cancel out and turn the 360 off. Ever since, I can power it on, but after the screen blinks, there is no text or menu. Reset does not fix this. Re-running the update also does not work. ANy ideas?

There is no official firmware updates for 360 Plus and therefore I am not sure what upgrade you installed. I would suggest to contact the service center at service@pocketbook-usa.com and they will help to fix the problem.
