Kindle problem with Recipe generated ebooks

Hi all,

Not sure if this is the best location for this thread, but hopefully someone here can help.

I've noticed a problem on my Kindle 3G since upgrading to Calibre 0.8.18.

I have Calibre running a number of recipes daily, both builtin and custom, that generate mobi files that are then sent via Amazon to my Kindle.

Prior to Calibre 0.8.18 only the latest copy of each one showed up on the home pages with all the back issues automatically moved into the "Periodicals: Back Issues" collection.

Since upgrading to 0.8.18, the back issues no longer move into the Back Issues collection, so I have a growing number on the home pages every day. As they are periodicals I can't move them into another collection either.

Has anyone else seen this behaviour, or have any hints on how I can get these periodicals to behave as they used to?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Just added comments to the bug report based on what I am seeing with version 0.8.18. This is happening with some periodicals, but not all.

Kovid is any simple way to repair AZW or mobi generated files from 18?
