Error: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out

On a certin site I have been this error message when it tries to download the content.
Error: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out

This is the site:
http://www.stltoday.com/sports/cards

Link Dept set to 1 no restriction
update schedule set to 5:00 AM enabled everyday

I also notice that sunrise will crash and close itself down after it does the autoupdate. Is there a way to fix this. It really didn't start happening till about the 3rd or 4th version.

Thanks

Try increasing the connection and/or network timeout setting in Preferences.

Will look into this - if I can find the time. You're not the only one who's having trouble with AutoUpdate. Unfortunately, try as I might, I can't reproduce these issues here. I've been running AutoUpdate for hours with many different SDLs and it works fine.

I have this problem too. [s]It's only crashed once[/s], but I upgraded to version G just yesterday, so I consider this significant. I've increased the timeouts, will see what happens.

I just noticed that it must've crashed more than once, but I just did not notice. (stupid board doesn't understand strikethrough!)

You could try increasing the max. heap size from 64Mb to 128Mb or more. You can do this by selecting the shortcut "Memory Configuration" from the Sunrise program group.

Will that do what I think it does? Will that allow the sunrise process to consume 128mb or RAM? If so, that's a tough one to swallow.
