Switched from PRS505 to PRS300 - device detection

Hello,

My PRS505 is dead and I'm using a new PRS300. When I open calibre I get a message about a device folder being detected (never seen that before). And it displays with or without the reader plugged in.

Also when I click on the "device" icon/button with the 300 plugged in, calibre shows everything that was on my 505 not what is currently on the 300. I get now (after deleting some files) that it is a sub folder of the library. How do I get the PRS300 content to show? Reader Library and Digital Editions detect and display content of the 300 successfully.I ran the device debug detection. Results below:

Put your books on the 300 in the database/media/books folder

HI!

Thanks for the response. Clearly I'm missing something. I don't know where that is nor do I know why/how that will fix the issue. I looked in Program FIles\Calibre and there is no database folder. Perhaps I should change my screen name to "clueless"?

After you open up calibre (without the 300 connected) what does calibre display in the bottom status bar?

Do you have this tweak in your current tweaks window?

# Specify a folder that calibre should connect to at startup using # connect_to_folder. This must be a full path to the folder. If the folder does
# not exist when calibre starts, it is ignored. If there are '\' characters in

auto_connect_to_folder = 'C:\Documents and Settings\dell\Desktop\connect_test'

Obviously the folder would be different. If you do have this in your current tweaks (bottom) window then remove the tweak and restart calibre.
