Anyone getting a shipping date on their K3? - Page 21

Huh! I ordered mine on August 7th (2-day free shipping), and still don't have a delivery estimate, but my Extended Warranty is still showing a delivery estimate of August 26, 2010 - August 31, 2010, so maybe something could be inferred from that.

Maybe they're servicing all the new Kindle owners first.

I don't know but it's descending into virtual fisticuffs on the Amazon UK site with people whinging about their place in the queue.

Whinge tomorrow maybe when it doesn't arrive but you'd have thought it was the end of the world or something ..... good job we're all more sensible here!

I just changed the shipping speed to one day, and finally got a delivery estimate to show (August 30). I then changed back to two-day shipping and the delivery estimate stayed the same.

My message hasn't changed yet ("Shipping soon"), but it looks like my case is right now out for delivery. Oh well, one more day...

Interesting, applying GC to the order changed Shipping date from "We need more time ..." to Aug 27, though delivery date is Aug 30.

I placed order for WiFi only K3 on Aug 1st at 10pm EST.

I keep looking out on the front stoop. Even though I seem to be perpetually stuck in "preparation for shipping," I am sure if I just close my eyes and turn around slowly 3 times (but is it clockwise or counterclockwise?) it will move. I think they are just having problems updating their records.

No kindle yet, but the case (with the light) just arrived. Very cute looking.
The light bit is quite small. I'm a little worried that the angle at which the light shines isn't right, but I won't be able to test until the other bit arrives (tomorrow?).

I ordered the graphite colored WiFi + 3G on the 31st in the US. Still says we don't know when we will ship this order, you may cancel at any time

To Stan, Larry, Mike, Bubba, Alice, Laura, Jim, Ayelah, and all the other great people working around the clock in Amazon's various distribution centers, a heartfelt thank you and a treble cheers Hip hip Hooray for your diligent efforts in calming down this obviously neurotic lot that hangs around here (I am in the forefront). Sorry that we are so self centered that we only focus on the arrival of our new shiny Kindles. We wouldn't be able to enjoy them without your hard work. And now, it's Miller Time!

I wouldn't worry. I have gotten things before without the tracking information being correct. I still think we will get them today or tomorrow. UPS comes around in the early afternoon, fed ex at dinner time.

I haven't been this excited since I was waiting for the last Harry Potter book. I considered having my mail held at the Post Office, since we don't get mail delivery until about 4. But I saw someone walking up the driveway around 11. I ran out and asked if it was my book. He looked down, and said no, it was for the house next door. Then he handed it to me. Funny what passes for a sense of humor with some people.
