Hello and Bonjour
I'm thrilled to have discovered you all.
I've recently acquired a Kindle DX and I'm loving it. I love being able to carry lots of books with me so easily, (even a good French dictionary to help me during my French lessons) after all, on a long train journey I don't always want to have one book to read. Its nice to be able to skip through several.
It was a bit annoying having to order from the US. while the smaller Kindle has been recently introduced to the UK ( not France) the Dx isn't there yet. I just wish I'd bothered to order and receive one while I was in the US for 6 weeks this summer!
Along with Georgiegirl2012 I've decided to sell some of my books to help towards the cost and then, I could even sell some of my bookshelves as well!
Anyway, at the moment, all my downloads have come from Amazon but I'm going to try other sites.

In my neck of the woods (Menton, sandwiched between Monaco and the Italian frontier) I literally can't give my paper books away. Hundreds are stacked in tea chests in my garage just begging for English-language readers to help themselves. Can't bear to just throw them away. Best wishes. Neil
