Ignoring line breaks in pdf file

I have a pdf book which is obviously poorly encoded but is there a way I can stop all the line breaks that currently appear. In PDF mode it looks fine but using the inbuilt viewer I get something like the following throughout the book. Is there some exp I can enter to ignore these line breaks?
