no squaretrade plans for astak readers?
since i've heard nothing but good about squaretrade, and i like their prices, i tend to buy their plans for our electronics. tonight i noticed that they offered a plan for readers, so i thought "Wow, cool!" i was disappointed to note that they only listed kindles, sony's and nooks - no astak, no bookeen.

i was wondering if RobertB or anyone else knows why this is. my husband has a pp and i expect to be getting an ezreader later this year, and it would be spiffy if we could get plans for them via squaretrade.

Is Squaretrade an extended warranty? I will look into it but so far there has not been much desire for such that I have seen.

not just extended - they'll cover your electronics from day one, and they have a damage plan, as well. they're growing fast because they fix things or send money within 5 days instead of arguing about whether to pay.

I have a 3year Square Trade Warranty with Accidental Damage on mine. Had it since the day I received mine.

thanks, TMPoole. i just heard from squaretrade that you can get a warranty for astak readers by selecting eReaders & Tablets, then selecting Other Tablet PCs. and i love the idea of the damage plan in case a screen gets broken!

How far along can you purchase a plan? I purchased my PP the first week of March. The Accidental damage coverage sounds great.

Within 90 days for a retail purchase. You are just inside your purchase window. Look for a coupon code. They run anywhere from 20-40%.
