International Day of the Book, on 23rd
Another year comes, and the International Day of the Book will be celebrated this Friday, April 23rd (remember, both Shakespeare and Cervantes died on April 23rd, 1616, but Cervantes died 10 days before Shakespeare).

Do you know of any ebook-related offers or promotions for this year's Book Day? I just received a mail for the Spanish retailer Leer-e, they are offering a discount for the Cool-er, and a second free ebook for every of (of the "Palabras Mayores" collection) you buy, during this week.

Cervantes died on 23 April according the Gregorian calendar; however, at this time England still used the Julian calendar. Whilst Shakespeare died on 23 April by the Julian calendar in use in his own country at the time, actually he died ten days after Cervantes, because of the discrepancy between the two date systems.
