Curious: What firmware version does your Sony Reader have? Mine is V1.0.00.21081.

Mine is V1.0.00.21081 also...

Jane - I think you can feel honored to have gotten hold of one of the first models! Only V1.0.00.00000 would have a big edge on you! Besides, I doubt there is much difference. And surely there will be a firmware upgrade coming in the future.

You haven't had any software issues have you?

It did crash on me when I tried to convert an rtf file but maybe it was file related as the one that I saved from Word worked fine. There is no update.

If it was reader, how did "crash" look like?

It was the connect software and it just closed. I "imported" the rtf and the program closed on me.

Jane, it's not Reader firmare version. It's CONNECT version.

To see your firmare version you need to check Settings -> About on your Reader.
