				bookshelf on kindle

Hi, is it possible to create bookshelves on Kindle to organize books instead of having going from page to page |

Not yet - Amazon has promised some sort of content management solution for "early in 2010". If you do a search on "Folders for Kindle" you'll find some threads with work-arounds that folk are currently using. |

you are right, was too fast to post and did read various posts. However, didn't like any of the work-arounds and now what to rephrase my question: Had anybody did/think of some kind of a hack? How about this one: - is it possible to create internal HTML page with cascading menus pointing to different folders on the file system as booksheves and under them books as an link? |

Calibre now has a catalog feature which builds a browseable version of your library. G |

AFAIK (I implemented the catalog feature in calibre) it's not possible to directly hyperlink from within a book to another book. Apparently that's only possible in Java from the shell. However, within the catalog, you can type the name of a book, search My Items, displaying a link to the book, which you can then open. So it's possible to open another book with a couple of steps. Here's a link to a posting in the Calibre forum describing the catalog feature. G |
