lan-switch.zip for toggling eth0 and SSH
Just got an Iliad Book Edition and made this quick application for it for mixed devel/reading use. The app does not "install" anything.
After you copy the unpacked 'lan-switch' directory onto the e-reader it should show up as "Toggle LAN connection" in the content lister. You can click it to toggle both the eth0 and dropbear SSH on and off. The IP is assigned over dhcp. When switching "on", the new IP is displayed under the "Toggle LAN connection" text in the content lister. Easy to connect that way :-) Caveats: this is for wired eth0, and assumes dhcp not static ip, and I have not tried this on a 2nd edition that additionally has wlan/wifi. Anyway i post this in the hope that some may find it useful. |
