For firmware 2.12, 1.5 (instructions in Russian).

Please, don't mix up the two different readers.

A summary of what is done for DR1000S (firmware 1.5 and further)
  • locale and codepage support
  • full menu translation
  • virtual keyboard (needs some further refinement)
  • quick reference guide translated
Companion software, Pressreader, Full User Manual and any extra documents, webpages are not translated. These items are not GPL and their translation can be arranged separately. An update of the virtual keyboard to support proper keyboard layout is pending.

Here are copies of the DR1000 files mentioned for the sake of their best preservation:
