Beautify question

I have an epub that I'm doing some very minor reformatting on to tweak it to my preferences

Beautify doesn't insert a blank line between paragraphs that IMHO makes it easier to read

Is there a setting or twean to take this

Quote:
<p>Cool thing about pendulums: The time it takes for one to swing forward and backward—the period—won’t change, no matter how wide it swings. If it’s got a lot of energy, it’ll swing farther and faster, but the period will still be the same. This is what mechanical clocks take advantage of to keep time. That period ends up being driven by two things, and two things only: the length of the pendulum and gravity.</p>
<p>I pull the pendulum to one side. I release it and start the timer. I count cycles as it sways back and forth. It’s not exciting. I almost want to fall asleep, but I stay at it.</p>
and make it look ike this?

I have been just doing a F&R on </p> and replacing with </p>\n but that's not going to be 100% accurate

Beautify should be inserting a blank line between <p></p> tags.
One reason it does not do that (I think it gets confused), is when you have too many <div></div> tags on a page. One of them is tripping up Beautify.
Test delete them one at a time and see which one is tripping it up.

Try Sigil's Reformat HTML→Mend and prettify, it's in the Tools menu and Codeview context menu. There'll be a toolbar button for it, but I don't know which toolbar.

1. I deleted two nested <div>s and Calibre did prettify to what I expected, except some of the <div> formatting was lost

2. Sigil's "HTML - Mend and Prettify" worked much better

Thanks to both for the good ideas
