Hello. I'm William Bear. I write crime fiction about people on the wrong side of it. I have a 1990s California crime novel out, and the novella that comes before it is free.

No Clean Hands is the novel. The sales blurb is one sentence: "In a town built on corruption, where everyone has an angle, Abraham Lincoln just wants out." It is not a redemption story. Nobody gets out clean. It is $4.99 as an EPUB from my store, and it is also on Amazon and Google Play.

Before it there is the prequel novella, When Our Hands Were Cleaner. One night in 1990s Southern California: Barbie and her cousins come down from Crestline to Redlands for the punk, ska and Oi! scenes, a show at the Showcase Theater in Corona goes wrong, and on the drive home a cop named Dale Kemper decides to teach some punk rockers a lesson. Includes the full novella as a DRM-free EPUB and print-ready PDF, an author's note from me, and a preview of the novel.
