Transform html to remove pagebreaks = merging files

I want to remove any instances of <div class="mbp_pagebreak" id="calibre_pb_\d+"></div> as part of the conversion process.

But if I use the transform html tool/function, instead of the end epub having one chapter per file, a bunch of the files get merged together and it's a mess.

I'm using 'if the tag has class mbp_pagebreak remove tag only'. I cannot stress enough that I don't know what I'm doing here, so possibly the issue is I'm using the wrong rule! I have experimented with other rules but they either don't remove the mbp_pagebreak or files get merged together.

Don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if this just isn't doable as part of conversion?

It could be that the particular class is a marker for Calibre to split the MOBI file into separate chapter files (I think mpb_pagebreak only appears in MOBI conversions), and if you remove that before Calibre is finished with the conversion, it cannot reliably split the text.

Create a regex to deal with it. Then save the search and you can recall it every time you convert a Mobi to ePub. This is in the editor.
