Need Recommendations
As you know in the other thread I ran out of room in my Kobo H20 with just 2900 books on it. It never occurred to me that I would be able to fill up an 8gb storage space!!!
![]() I want to get another reader with these features. 6 or 7 inch reader Black & White Lots of storage! SD Card slot!! Well-built to stand up to traveling in my backpack with a case. It can have the ability to load other apps, but I always sideload all of my books. I'm not interested in Amazon readers. I currently have a Boox Go 7, I'm hesitant to get another Kobo even though I love how sturdy and reliable it is. So please let me know what you think, if you have experience with other ereaders like Bigme, Pocketbook etc. Let me know how they are for you and how reliable they are. Thanks!

If it was me, for travelling I'd be for a 78$, second-hand Kobo Aura HD, I'd liked its sturdiness, and form factor. It has a SD Card, a nice screen and I recall the "zForce Touchscreen" was fine. Wasn't that infrared tecnology iirc?
I see Amazon has a very similar " Neo 2 eReader, 6" E Ink Carta 1300, 300 PPI, Octa-Core, Glare-Free" (similar in form factor), but don't know about. You may try to check some reviews. Personally I still will be for a second hand and a battery replacement guide: https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/...arting+to+fail I mean, the Aura HD was fantastic. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kobo_Aura_HD |

The Boox 7 is, as you obviously already know, a very good and well-made device that meets your requirements. Boox offers a rigid cover which would give it protection in your backpack.
Personally, though, I'd take something smaller when I'm out and about. The Boox Go 6 fits the bill (including a micro SD slot). With 32GB, I've got over 2,500 books on mine and still have 16GB available. (The OS and other software takes up a fair chunk of the space.) Going to the extreme, and below your stated 6" lower size limit, you might think about the XTEINK X3. It's not a lot bigger than a credit card, but still meets your storage requirements. |

Have a look at https://comparisontabl.es/e-readers/ to see what's available and more recent.

There are so many ebook readers available now that choosing one can be surprisingly difficult. I’d start by thinking about how you’ll mainly use it reading PDFs, regular ebooks, taking notes, or reading outdoors. Screen size and lighting are also worth considering before making a decision.
