Just as an FYI, Sam Cohen has returned and updated the IOS version and claims there is an Android version coming as well.

Yeah, this is the end for me and CC. I'm not subscribing to continue using a product I already bought. Or putting up with intrusive ads if I don't. I've limping along with an old .apk anyway.

Sad thing is, CC has always been better than the other options.

I did install the beta version (opted in to the Play store beta)

My very limited testing has worked but I will admit to being highly put off by the licensing change.

I will be posting my experiences in the CC forum. I'd welcome others to join me there

I deleted CC back when the subscription model came on. In any case, I'm not interested in its revival; Calibre Sync works very well for me, and I only had to pay for it once.
