Troubleshooting my Bricked? Auro One

My Aura One has frozen on the sleeping page, i'm having a little tinker with it before it goes to silicon heaven with the toasters and calculators.

I've tried resetting via the power button but cant get anything new to show on the screen. Windows makes connected/disconnected bing-bongs when connecting it via usb so its not totally dead. The power led (i think its the power led, small lit square with rounded corners at top right of screen) lights up a VERY faint green when turned on.

I've whipped the back off and cant find any obvious faulty components.

Are there any dev tools that can possibly help me poke about inside via usb?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks.

Have you tried a manual factory reset? I'm not sure if what you state as resetting via the power button is referring to an attempted manual factory reset. If you haven't tried the full manual factory reset, I've listed the steps below.
  1. Connect your Aura One to a wall power adapter and charge for at least 1 hour. Make sure you have access to a Wi Fi connection. Leave it plugged in after the hour.
  2. Press and hold the power button until the power light on the top-right corner of your eReader turns off. You'll see a 'Powered off' screen when your eReader is turned off. If nothing happens, hold the power button for ~30-35 seconds to do a forced power off.
  3. Release the power button.
  4. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
  5. Wait for the Restore screen to appear.
  6. Release the power button.

If the restore screen appears, your eReader screen should turn black and begin the restoring process. After the restoring process finishes, follow the onscreen instructions to set up your eReader.

Thank you but this is what i meant by resetting with the power button, sorry i should have been more specific. The device turns off and on fine so i was able to do it but the display remains on the sleeping screen throughout.
