Harmonizing KOReader between devices

I'm posting this question in a couple places to get maximum possible answers.

I use KOReader on both a Kobo Clara BW and a Boox Go 10.3 Gen 2 Lumi. I do most of my configuration on the Kobo, then have to reproduce everything on the Boox. Can I just copy the plugin and settings folders and files (as listed in the KOReader docs) from the Kobo to the Lumi? Are there things to watch for between the Kobo and Lumi (which uses Android)?

Thanks in advance!

Why don't you just try it? If it does not work just re-install the KOReader apk on the Boox device.

If I interpret the User Manual correctly it should work copying certain folders and files to transfer the settings to from one device to another:
"Backup your KOReader settings
In rare cases that you want to backup and restore your KOReader with all your settings, you can backup these folders and files under the KOReader installation directory. Then you can overwrite them after a clean installation to restore your settings:

Folders:
settings
styletweaks
Files:
data/cr3.ini
defaults.persistent.lua
history.lua
settings.reader.lua
settings/profiles.lua
Files under data/dict/ and /data/tessdata/ directories (if they exist)
INFO Your individual book settings and highlights are kept in the same directory as your books in a folder with the same name as your book. You can backup these folders separately if you wish."

The backup and restore primarily refers to the same device, or something close enough like one Kobo to another. Going between different systems may not work as well, especially Android which is the most different. That being said, generally it shouldn't hurt.

I think the settings.reader.lua file also stores the position of the home folder so synching that over different ecosystems can lead to problems.

I did try to copy the KOReader folders from Kobo to Boox, after taking a backup of the Boox folders. The Kobo setup came close to working, but kept crashing randomly. I restored the Boox setup, and had much greater success simply copying the plugins folder from Kobo to Boox, which worked perfectly
