Firmware 4.45.23792 (07/30/26) just received
Just today I received OTA the above mentioned Fw version, which is odd as it is not published/known before and I more or less expected the latest Fw 4.46.23836.
As there were rumors about 4.46.23836 being revoked, could this one be the replacement?

4.46.23836 has not been pulled. So no idea why you've received an older firmware. Maybe it has something to do with your affiliate.

Well, I came from Fw 4.45.23697 (via OTA), and my affiliate is related to the Rakutenbooks affiliate, so that caused perhaps the upgrade to Fw 4.45.23792, which version seems nowhere known (until now).
Perhaps I can better manually upgrade to Fw 4.46.23836

It is because of your affiliate. If you want to install the 4.46.23836 firmware, you can download the firmware from https://pgaskin.net/KoboStuff/kobofirmware.html

I also came from 4.45.23697 and received 4.45.23792 overnight as well, which I noticed because some patches were no longer in effect (while others are)... weird. Extra weird because I also use the "Block WiFi firmware upgrade" patch. My affiliate was "kobo", but it has changed itself back to "MediaMarktNL"... weird, again.

Why did we get 4.45.23792; what does it do?
