Would love a new 8" Reader.

I have had many different e-readers, including some from Amazon (I've given up on Amazon), and the Elipsa 2E and the Libra Colour. BUT I find myself preferring the Forma, with its larger 8" screen and lighter weight (it's even lighter than the 7" Libra Colour). The only modification I have needed was for dark mode, something that is quite easy to do. The 8" screen is the perfect size for me, much easier to read and navigate than the 7" screen of the Libra or the even smaller screens of other readers. It would be wonderful if Kobo (or anyone else but Amazon) would come out with a new lightweight 8" reader. Otherwise, no matter how many bells and whistles they add (color, remote page-turner, etc.) I'll stick with my Forma until it completely stops working.

I (in my personal opinion) would like a new 7" reader in a Kindle-like format, without(!) a wide border on the side – with or without physical buttons, that's not important for me.

In the continuing absence of 7" and 8" B&W e-readers from Kobo's range, I've found substitutes that I find acceptable:
7" - Boox Go 7
8" - PocketBook InkPad 4.

Neither UI is quite as good as Kobo's, but both are perfectly usable and, IMO, better than the Kindle one.

Loading KOReader onto either is a doddle, though I find the stock reading apps to be perfectly good most of the time.

Of course, these might not suit you folk as well as they do me, but (assuming that they're available wherever you are), you might consider them.

Good decision. I love both the Aura One and the Forma -- currently happily using the Forma.

I don't see how they can significantly improve the Forma.

I used to love my old 6-inch ebook readers. Now when I look at them I don't understand how that was even possible. Such small context windows. I agree 8-inch is the best size.

I still like the Forma, and I actually bought a second one recently to give me peace of mind. The Sage is a nice device, but the battery percentage ticking down with every page turn reminds me too much of the finality of all being. Even tough it does last longer with selecting a different governor.

The Forma is hands-down the best e-reader I've ever used, and I've been through all the Kindles since version 2 and a bunch of Kobos along the way. I still keep coming back to the Forma with Koreader as the best experience of the bunch. Would absolutely love to see a new Forma or whatever they want to call it.
