Does anybody use a split book list?
I not entirely sure the purpose of it, maybe see examples of how it's used can help to understand.

Purpose - to retain sight of the first few columns (e.g. author and title), whilst scrolling/tabbing through the other columns across the screen - its a spreadsheet 'thing'.

Might be easier to understand in View manager customise.

I don't use it.

Nope, but I also have multiple Monitors, so fitting the main GUI into a smaller area is not needed
