Troubleshooting Is there any way to delete all annotations for a sideloaded book?

I have an ePub that I sideloaded onto my Kindle as KFX using the KFX Output Plugin. I made highlights on the Kindle, then later edited the ePub and re-sent it to the Kindle. However, those edits have now made the highlights invisible and cannot be deleted from the list of all annotations.

I have tried deleting the book completely from the documents folder on the device, restarting, and re-sending the book as well as updating the Goodreads and ASIN IDs in Calibre, but there seems to be some cached database of these annotations somewhere and I cannot get rid of them. I'd like to just reset the book like it's brand new, but no matter what I try, the Kindle seems to remember the sideloaded book.

The device is a Kindle Paperwhite 11th Generation running firmware 5.18.6. I am running Calibre 8.16.2 on Fedora Linux.

Take note of where you are in reading this book. Delete it from the Kindle and resend it. Go back to where you left off and continue reading.

I feel so stupid. I deleted the book in question about 10 times using either Calibre or deleting the folder on the Kindle, or both. Deleting from the Kindle itself by tapping the 3 dots on the cover, then deleting the folder for good measure, and sending it back to the Kindle, worked like a charm. Thank you.
