Curious: column icons storage

@chaley - Are column icons ever stored anywhere other than the cc_icons folder in the calibre config folder — e.g. as encoded strings in the database.

I 'lost' my %appdata%\calibre\cc_icons\transparent_square.png (moved it instead of copying it), but its presence seemed to show up in some column-icon rules but not others.

Wouldn't it need to be IN the DB as the icons could be different for different libraries?

SQL spy might lead you there

The png's in cc_icons are a common resource - I use the same icons across multiple libraries - usually for similar purpose, e.g. transparent_square as a visual place holder.

I spotted this one, not sure what that encoding is about, its the only rule that has it,

Code:
[
      "icon",
      "authors",
      "program:\n# BasicColorRule():5b226d6167617a696e652e706e67222c205b5b22666f726d617473222c2022686173222c2022455055424649584544225d5d5d\ntest(str_in_list(field('formats'), ',', \"EPUBFIXED\", '1', ''), 'magazine.png', '');\n"
    ],
My problem was due to me moving a png from cc_icons to the desktop rather than copying it.

Out of curiosity, I made a test with an icon rule, like this:

- ran a search that would match the rule. icon shows.(just to confirm the rule is ok)
- deleted the icon from cc_icons (while keeping the recycle bin folder open on explorer, calibre kept open as well)
- ran same search by hitting the search button again, icon is gone.
- restored the icon from recycle bin, hit search button again. icon shows.

This was a non transparent icon. Then I renamed a transparent icon in cc_icons to match the same rule and test gave same results
