Kindle 4 Touch - book covers?

I got a Kindle 4 Touch a few weeks ago. The main purpose was to be able to receive azw3 books, so I'd consider this not really important, but I'm curious.

So, when I view the home screen, or the library screen, none of the books actually show covers. Some of them are "send to kindle" books, but there are also books I licensed from amazon. But, as you can see in the photo, the ads / suggested books show covers.

Is this normal, because the K4T never had this ability, or was is removed at some point? Or is something wrong and I have to troubleshoot?

Also, the lock screen doesn't show covers, but there's also no option to enable them like it is with never Kindles, so I suppose there's no support in the firmware, isn't there?

which firmware are you running? I don't know why covers won't show on the library view but the Lock Screen one wasn't supported at the time, in fact it took about ten more years after that model came out for Lock Screen covers to be a thing on kindles. The only way to get cover on lock screen for that model is to JB and install the screensaver hack from NiLuJe, or use KOReader.

It's firmware 5.3.7.3, which is the latest supported version, I believe.

Book covers on the lock screen wasn't added to the official firmware until 5.13.5, in 2021.

Just to let you know, it's not a K4T. It's a Kindle Touch. I suggest you request the thread title be change to Kindle Touch because searing for this thread by the title won't work.

My Kindle Touch also does not display covers in the cover view. All it has on it are three eBooks from Amazon.
