Grouping files with the same name
Hi,
I have a group of books where each one has 2 or 3 file types. Is there a way to tell calibre to group the files with the same name but different prefix?

Example:

/dir/
...book1.pdf
...book1.epub
...book1.cbr
...book2.pdf
...book2.epub
...book3.pdf
...book3.epub


Should led to

book1 (pdf,epub,cbr)
book2 (pdf,epub)
book3 (pdf,epub)

Preferences: Adding Books: Adding Actions (a tab): Auto-merge (ticked):
That was what to do for the same format

Calibre should have merged those AS LONG AS THE METADATA/ (if filename used for metadata) matches

Yes, should happen already. See bottom right of image.
Also, using the green + icon you can add more books to the library record rather than trying your luck with drag and drop and hoping they combine automatically.

The Edit metadata drop down menu has a Merge book records option:

You have to select TWO books.
