Re-adding a library after Windows recovery?

Hello, everybody!

I have two libraries - my book library and my knit/crochet pattern library. I had to do a Windows recovery/reset/whatever it's called yesterday, so Calibre doesn't 'know' about the second library yet. But, when I click on the "Switch/Create Library" I don't see an option that feels "safe" to me. With many many hours in curating both libraries, I'm a little terrified of effing up. I obviously must have succeeded when I created the second library... so what am I mis-reading?

Below the location bar, I see 3 options:
Use the previously exiting library at the new location
Create an empty library at the new location (option: copy structure from the current library)
Move the current library to a new location.

I just need to tell Calibre - hey, this library exists, too. Both libraries are in the same folder, if that helps. I couldn't find anything on keeping multiple libraries (note: NOT virtual libraries here) in the manual. As I said in another post today -- I'm probably just not seeing it (dialogue fatigue? Is that a thing? lol)

As soon as I figure this out, I'm adding it to my SOP for reinstalling Windows!

Click the blue folder button, browse to and select your pattern library, make sure the "Use the previously exiting library at the new location" radio button is pressed before clicking OK.

Thankyouthankyouthankyou! (It worked. )

Is there any mention of this dialog in the manual (in other words: did my search-fu fail? )

Both CAN NOT be in the same folder (unless you have them in a backup Archive and those are not technically a Calibre Library when in that state).

If you are restoring from a backup,
Just put them into 2 separate folders (side by side, but not merged)
Then use the Use Existing option to point at the first, then the other
The default (With 1 book) will still be on the list, You can remove that while using either of the others (just select delete: That only deletes the Switch list Entry)

If I want search the calibre user manual I use Tracker's xChange viewer on a downloaded PDF.

See Graphical User interface->Actions->Library ==>> https://manual.calibre-ebook.com/gui.html#library

Sometimes I'd get that feeling too! Then after years using Calibre I guess I just got used to the options in that dialogue.

To me, it seems that a small rephrasing would make me feel "safer": instead of "Use the previously existing library at the new location", I'd be more comfortable with choosing "Use a previously existing library at the new location".

Curiously, this suggested rephrasing, quoted, is a googlewhackish search that leads to a 2012 post by davidfor.

edit: or perhaps "Use a previously existing library at the chosen location".

@comfy
I agree but wording may be because of locale/translation needs.

The 'previously' and the 'existing' are both superfluous.

All that's needed is: "Use the calibre library at the selected location".
