When switching books, reading location not being saved
When I switch between books, when I go back to the original book I was reading it resets to the beginning of the chapter I most recently had been reading. This is incredibly frustrating if I was in the middle of a chapter.
All my books are sideloaded using Calibre Web. How to fix this? I would like it to remember exactly where I was reading when I switched between books. |

It's not a fix, but you can manage this by remembering to tap a bookmark before switching.
On a couple of my Kobos, my reading position will go back a few pages and this is how I handle it. |

I have seen this when epubs were simply renamed to filename.kepub.epub and sent to a Kobo ereader. A rename does not add the spans that a Kobo uses for locations in a .kepub.epub ebook.

Yep, without the line numbering span classes, the book starts at the of the chapter or the top of an html file.
Don't rename books from epub to kepub.epub, just dump the epub files on the web version of Kepubify by Patrick Gaskin. Link: https://pgaskin.net/kepubify/try/ |
