Cailbre copy to device save template not working

Hi, so I have a bit of an issue. I just switched from ComicRack to Calibre for comic book management, as I've been successfully using calibre for other books for a long time. So, I want my comic books sent to my device using a different naming convention than my other books. I initially created this save template -

"/comics/{series}/{series_index:0>4s} - {title}"

and it worked fine. But I decided I wanted a slightly different format, so I changed it to this -

"/comics/{series} V{#volume}/#{series_index:0>4s} - {title}".

I tested

"/comics/{series} V{#volume}/#{series_index:0>4s} - {title}"

when saving to disk, and it worked fine, but it doesn't work on sending to device, it reverts back to

"/comics/{series}/{series_index:0>4s} - {title}"

even after closing and restarting calibre. The correct save template is in the settings, but it doesn't work. I'm using calibre 6.13. Any ideas?

more than likely, the path has become too long.

Different templates can be set for Save to Disk and Send to Device, and the latter can be overridden via the individual device Configure this device option.

You didn't state which device you use, but if it's Kobo, I believe the KoboTouch/KoboTouchExtended driver configs also override the Calibre default.
