Where to find the Calibre log files?

I'm having trouble with getting a plugin to work (specifically, the ACSM input plugin), and I'd like to look at the log file that I understand Calibre should produce. But where does Calibre store the logfiles? I'm on a Windows 10 system with Calibre 5.35 64-bit.

Sorry if this is a newbie question, but I'm unable to find an answer on this forum or in the Calibre documentation. Thanks in advance for your tips and suggestions.

If you run in debug mode for a bit and then exit the log file ought to pop up in a text editor, though I've had a few instances where it didn't and I've had to dig it out.

By default, Calibre usually dumps them in the system's temp directory. They can be a hassle to find, so if you're not afraid of editing environment variables you can set a CALIBRE_CACHE_DIRECTORY.

Debug mode is the key. Right click the Preferences icon and select Restart in Debug Mode.
