Calibre 5.30 not finding a Kindle Paperwhite

Hello,

I got my Kindle Paperwhite 2021 in the mail today, and wanted to transfer many of my books from my Calibre Library to the Kindle.
When I click right click the book and hover "Send to Device" the "Main Memory" is greyed out.
The first time I plugged the device in and booted up Calibre the option was there, and I tried it and it didnt even transfer the file.
I can still transfer files by copying them to the directory on my kindle, but the device refuses to be found by Calibre.

I looked at the sticky about "My device is not detected" and I am on linux but am unsure how to see if there is something else accessing the device and causing problems.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
