How to Change Homescreen / Get rid of Kindle store
Is there anyway to remove the kindle store or "start a list of books you want to read" suggestions on the home screen.

According to this thread its possible, but I think I must have the wrong version because those options are not available to me. https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=264317

I have a PW3 (5.9.6.1) fully jailbroken, have KUAL and python, and its unregistered

EDIT: I would be happy if hitting the home button just took me to "My Library" instead. Is that possible with KUAL or some other extension?

Might be one of those things that disappear on a registered device and/or ends up being configurable on a registered device.

You've guessed it: register your device.

Everytime i register I get the "special offers" ads instead of custom covers. If that'smy only option I'll take the lesser evil

Ah didn't realize that was an option. Can you still do that after the fact or is it hard programmed? I got this one as a gift so I wouldn't mind ponying up the $20

Contact Amazon support and ask them to please remove the ads for you. Sometimes they will do so for free, sometimes they will ask you to pay for it.

If your Kindle account is tied to a country where Special offers exist, the option is available in the "Manage My Devices" page (or wherever that ends up being now, I haven't really visited it since at least 7 website redesigns ;D).

EDIT: Yep, Account > Manage Your Content and Devices > Devices tab > It's in the [...] popup attached to the device in question (once registered).

Otherwise, @dhdurgee's advice is solid, Amazon CS has been known to deal with it for imported devices.
