Failed 0.4.84 update

Hello,
Just updated calibre to 0.4.84 using the command

Quote:

under Ubuntu Hardy Heron AMD64 and I get the following error when I run calibre in a terminal (no error from icon)

changed the current directory to /opt/calibre, tried ./calibre and got this:

You cant run the binary version on a 64bit computer. You have to install from source. Note that in order to install from source you will have to install the -dev versions of various packages. But before doing that try

sudo rm -rf /home/aprilhare/.config/calibre/; calibre

Many thanks, that command did the trick! It's working 100% and I am very impressed - it converts all the epub books I had now

Glad to hear it. Note that you only need to run that command once.
