				Recovery drive in Windows 10

Today I created a recovery drive on a USB memory stick for my Windows 10 laptop. Anyone know if it's necessary to re-create the recovery drive after a Windows Update? It takes quite a long time (about 1h 40m) to create the recovery drive, so it would be a bit of a pain to do it every time an update gets installed.

Depends. If it's a big update, you might as well recreate it. If it's a few updates here and there, don't bother. Of course, if you generally have a limited Internet connection, then you would want to recreate it every time you downloaded a significant number of updates. BUT, be careful! You want to be able to return your machine to a pristine, like-new state. Not a machine that is loaded down with junk Windows might install. |
