Show Read in List

How do I set the app to show me books that have been marked read when I am connected to the content server?

There isn't a particularly easy way to do this, assuming I understand what you want to do. I think you want something similar to what you get in CC's library view: the ability to select books that are not read (for example) then browse in that subset, and (perhaps) to see CC's read information on the book list.

The content server display is controlled by calibre, not CC, so you see what calibre wants to show you. Yes/no columns are not shown at the top-level selection. CC data isn't usable or displayable on the book list. You can search for yes/no columns that have some value, but that a) only helps if you have synced read information between CC and calibre and b) if you aren't interested in browsing (for example) unread books by tag. And if you have set up syncing then of course the info is visible in book details.

CC's cloud connection gets closer, in that you can filter the book list by some metadata value. For example, if the read information is synced to a column with the lookup name #read then at the top level you could tap the #read column then long-press on "No". This will filter what you see in all the other views to show books that are not read (#read is "no").
