				MOBI ebook, justified text

One question about kindle PW3 firmware version 5.7.2: in my actual firmwware, pushing a book using Calibre via email (MOBI), make the ebook not justified. This should be AFAIK a problem of ereader not able to justify MOBI format.

Workaround is to convert it to AZW3 and sideload with calibre (not possible pushing AZW3 via email) losing sync with other devices. Any solution? Has this been solved with new firmware? ![]() Thank you |

Amazon's email-to-Kindle feature accepts either plain old MOBI or dual-MOBI.

(calibre has a MOBI Output option to use dual-MOBI, alternatively kindlegen produces dual-MOBI.) If you send dual-MOBI, Amazon will deliver AZW3 to supported devices and fallback on MOBI for unsupported legacy devices. This is the same mechanism they use for the storefront. |

@eschwartz, for dual-MOBI you mean "settings->output settings->output MOBI->MOBI file type: both"? I remember it didn't work, but maybe I need to test it again. Or maybe you mean a different option?

The only disadvantage of dual Mobi, other than the fact that your book uses twice as much space on your PC (but not on your Kindle, of course) is that metadata plugboards don't work with the dual Mobi format. |
