Paperwhite, Sideloading & Notes

Hello,

I've been using a Nexus 7 and Moon Reader Pro for my ereading for several years. I'd used Calibre to manage my library and everything worked great. I'd bought quite a few books from Amazon, but most of books I've bought are epubs since I was using Moon Reader. Well, my Nexus 7 has basically become unusable and since all I was using it for at this point was reading I decided to get a Paperwhite 3 since I thought it would be easier on the eyes and lighter then a tablet.

So I received the PW yesterday and I'm trying to figure things out. Basically every book in my library is in epub & mobi (with some AZW3s). I take a lot of notes while I'm reading and use Evernote to keep track of them. I'd been using an Android kindle app for about a week before getting the PW and I really liked the notes at the My Kindle site. The books I'd been reading on the app were all ones I'd purchased from Amazon. I went ahead and downloaded the book I'd been reading to the PW and tried putting some of my non Amazon purchases on it as well. I've used the Send to Kindle app and I've just sideloaded a couple as well. I've tried emailing them via Calibre, but I've never seen them show up using that method.

The books I've sent using they Send to Kindle app all show up with "personal" on them and the notes don't show up at the My Kindle place. Two of the books I've sideloaded show up fine & my notes show up @ My Kindle. Two or three other books I've sideloaded show up, but no notes at My Kindle.

The two books that have the notes show up aren't Amazon purchases so I'm not sure why they work with My Kindle and the others don't. I'm ok not using the My Kindle site to get my notes to Evernote if I can find some other way of getting them there, but I can't figure out why some of my books work and the others don't. I tried sending one of the two that worked via sideloading using Send to Kindle and when I took notes in it they didn't show up at My Kindle either.

I'm not sure if I should just assume that most of my books won't work with the My Kindle site and be glad that at least two of them will which means I need to find some other way of exporting notes. Or am I missing something with the other books I've tried to sideload?

I don't think Evernote notes shows up on the My Kindle.
Someone that knows more than me will show up later.

Your right. I use the Evernote Web Clipper for the notes that show up.
