				Kobo Glo HD charging issue

Hi guys, I have a Kobo Glo HD and when plugged into a charger or PC it shows a screen saying that my battery is dead and I must plug it into a charger. If you leave it plugged in for an hour or 2 and restart it, it will then show around 30% charged but if you try to plug it in again it shows the same please charge your reader screen and needs a restart to become usable again. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks |

Has it worked fine before or is this a new device? If it's a new device it might be worth leaving it to charge up completely rather than just for an hour or two. |

Yes, leave it plugged in overnight and see what state it is. If this still happens, do a factory reset. If that doesn't fix it, it is probably faulty and you should see if you can exchange it.

Hi guys. I have had the kobo charging for 2 days solid and it doesn't help, have also factory reset and soft reset a few times but no joy. I contacted support about returning it but as it was a gift and the receipt has been lost they won't accept it back, even though they have said it probably needs replacing. I was hoping there was something I could do myself to fix it. |

Quick update. After a third attempt to return the Glo HD through customer service they have agreed to supply a replacement device. The only downside being that I have to return it at my cost to their service department in another country. I must I'm not thrilled at paying £13 to ship a faulty device back to them but I'm on the road to getting a working reader once again. |
